What changes first—the mind or the perspective?

Higher Perspective is an original LexKittenArts painting inspired by a chapter of my own creative journey. Created during a time when marijuana was a significant part of my life, this piece reflects my curiosity about how different states of mind can shape the way we see ourselves, our thoughts, and the world around us.

The two portraits face one another as quiet opposites. One mind appears clear and structured, while the other bursts with vivid color and altered perception. Resting between them, the yin-yang symbolizes the balance between these experiences—not to declare one right or wrong, but to invite reflection on how perspective influences creativity, emotion, and self-awareness.

Rather than offering answers, Higher Perspective asks a question: How much of what we experience comes from the world around us, and how much comes from the lens through which we see it?
